Program End to End Analyst

If good is just never good enough for you, Ford Quality shares your passion for striving for perfection. We’re responsible for driving the continuous improvement efforts that enable Ford to deliver the highest quality products and services. Help us drive operational excellence through such innovative, proprietary initiatives as our Global Product Development System, Quality Operating System and New Model Launch. Work cross-functionally and closely with integrated teams in Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales and Service.

In this position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Program End to End Analyst to join our newly established End-to-End Quality Integration team. This critical role is designed to bridge the gap between real-world quality performance of current production vehicles and the proactive prevention efforts for future model development.

The Program End to End Analyst will serve as the primary quality interface for assigned vehicle functions (e.g., Body, Underbody, Calibration, Infotainment, Electrified Systems, Electrical Architecture, ADAS), working directly with functional engineering teams to understand, consolidate, and declare the comprehensive quality status. This position is vital for ensuring that nuanced, physical-level learnings from current products are systematically integrated into new programs, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the Program Quality Status and driving world-class lifecycle quality.

*This role is hybrid in Dearborn, MI.

You'll have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial, or related field). 5+ years of experience in automotive quality, product development, manufacturing, or service engineering, with direct exposure to problem resolution. Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Shainin, Six Sigma). Strong understanding of vehicle functional systems relevant to assigned domain (e.g., body structures, calibration, electrical hardware, electrified powertrains, ADAS, infotainment). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority. Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.

Even better, you may have:

Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Experience with Ford's Global Product Development System (GPDS), Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) processes (DFMEA, PFMEA, SCCAF), and CTQ management. Direct experience with Electric Vehicle (EV) systems and associated quality challenges (e.g., battery, e-motor, charging). Proficiency in quality data analysis tools (e.g., QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, Minitab). Experience in supplier quality management or direct interaction with suppliers on quality issues.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all the above? What you'll do:

1.            Drive Functional Quality Status Declaration:

Own the qualitative and quantitative quality status for assigned functional domain(s), working closely with engineering teams to gather, analyze, and synthesize data. Ensure accurate and timely declaration of quality status for each function, contributing to both total vehicle and functional-level quality dashboards.

2.            Drive Current Model Quality Learnings into Future Programs:

Engage directly with engineering teams responsible for current production quality problems to deeply understand root causes, failure mechanisms, and real-world manufacturing/supplier constraints. Translate complex technical problem resolutions from current production into actionable "lessons learned" for future vehicle designs and processes. Actively participate in the "functional waterfall work," ensuring detailed analysis of current quality gaps and guiding engineering towards robust solutions for the "next major program."

3.            Enhance Proactive Quality Planning:

Provide real-world insights to the Forward Model Quality (FMQ) team to inform and strengthen Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) plans, Root Cause (RC) plans, and CTQ (Critical-to-Quality) assessments. Contribute to the refinement of Quality Framework Enablers by providing feedback on their effectiveness in current production. Lead the identification and cascading of high-performing parts and systems from current models for reuse in future programs.

4.            Data Analysis & Benchmarking:

Utilize diverse data sources, including warranty data, customer satisfaction metrics, field service reports, and physical assessment data (e.g., auction data) to identify quality trends, risk areas, and benchmarking opportunities. Establish and drive benchmarking paths around identified quality opportunities, focusing on functional gaps at the part level.

5.            Support Program Delivery & Risk Management:

Ensure that current model quality learnings and functional quality status are accurately reflected in the Program Quality Status inputs. Partner with Program Quality (PQ) to ensure seamless integration of functional quality insights into overall program-level quality planning and strategic discussions. Own functional escalation for quality issues, ensuring timely attention and resolution from relevant stakeholders within engineering and across functions.

6.            Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Act as a key interface between PQ, engineering, manufacturing, service, and supplier quality teams to ensure seamless information flow and alignment on functional quality issues. Consult with manufacturing and service quality teams to gather critical insights and ensure their perspectives are integrated into functional quality assessments.
