**_Ready for a meaningful career in criminal justice?_** MTC Lives Transformed ND utilizes a blended workplace model with some staff providing services remotely and some in office settings. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
**Position Summary:**
Reports to the Director of Behavioral Health Services. Directly supervises program staff, including licensed addiction counselors and group facilitators. Will ensure staff delivering services adhere to the principles of effective intervention and culturally competent practices during interactions with adults under supervision. Responsible for overall management and coordination of the contract to include planning, developing, and implementing treatment programs using _Free Your Mind_ and Seeking Safety curricula and networking with community resources in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCR) directives.
**Essential Functions:**
1.Responsible for program planning, development, training, and implementation; monitoring compliance with policies and procedures; and providing consultative services to plan, implement, and monitor effective agency programs.
2.Ensures that group intervention offerings include Seeking Safety, the Free Your Mind CORE Curriculum and domain specific Free Your Mind components for substance use treatment, addressing antisocial attitudes and personality patterns, and anger control.
3.Provides staff training, evaluates staff performance and implements organizational and personnel changes in coordination with corporate human resources prior to implementation.
4. Maintains the ASAM criteria of Level II.1 intensive outpatient service, Level I aftercare, and other services in compliance with contractual requirements.
5.Conduct and document quarterly treatment record audits for each client file in compliance with contractual requirements.
6.Conduct and document quarterly group observations.
7.Holds supervision meetings with staff on an at least bimonthly basis.
8.Integrates Shaping Success behavior management protocols with community-based treatment programs.
9.Coordinates with supervising officers regularly to provide case information and consultation as needed.
10.Maintains a positive relationship with community leaders and local resources to provide employment assistance or vocational training opportunities to clients.
11.Ensures required compliance standards are met; caseload requirements do not exceed ratio maximums and duration of treatment is appropriate according to client needs.
12. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
13.Travel will be required as directed.
14.Develops a system to promote the coordination and integration of community-based treatment programs with other supports, including Free Through Recovery, individual mental health services, and local self-help organizations or faith-based groups.
15. Develops and implements appropriate measures to ensure necessary assessments, progress reports, treatment plans, reviews, or other documents are completed and submitted timely as required for compliance.
16.Conducts special investigations, program analyses, and research studies; reviews and analyzes treatment operations to identify problem areas and prepares reports of findings and recommendations; initiates activities to increase effective programming.
17.Prepares annual program budget; develops policy and procedure manuals; and assists in the preparation of training and operational manuals, educational materials, and information programs.
18.Works with program staff in determining trends and resolving technical programs; provides technical assistance on program services; and provides liaison with other departments, divisions, agencies, and organizations.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
**Education and Experience Requirements:**
Bachelor’s degree in addiction counseling, social work, psychology or a related field and current behavioral health licensure by the applicable North Dakota licensing board in one of the following areas: Addiction Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling required. Master’s degree preferred. Supervisor credentials by the applicable North Dakota licensing board preferred. Valid driver’s license in the state of North Dakota with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
**Post Hire Requirements:**
Must successfully pass an annual background check approved by ND DOCR and maintain current licensure and required certifications. Ideal candidate must be approved by Upper-Level Management before hired. Must pass drug screen. Must complete training as required and approved by ND DOCR. Must receive training in the Principles of Effective Intervention, cognitive behavioral interventions, and the use of reinforcement to support behavioral change.
