What we want The Office for Student Success Routh First-Generation Team is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Coordinator II to spearhead our High-Impact Learning Experience initiative. This role is vital in fostering undergraduate student success for first-generation students through innovative programs and retention strategies. Lead the development, coordination, and implementation of the High-Impact Learning Experience program, ensuring it meets the unique needs of first-generation students. Design and facilitate career readiness workshops that equip students with critical skills and experiences necessary for thriving in their post-graduation careers. Work closely with both campus and external partners to create and execute engaging training and programming tailored specifically for first-generation students, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. Keep campus partners informed about program developments and status updates, fostering a collaborative atmosphere focused on student success. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about empowering first-generation students. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach to developing and delivering high-quality, relevant support services. A commitment to enhancing first-generation students' career readiness and leadership development. Strong background in student access, retention strategies, and familiarity with current literature on first-generation student success. Proficiency with student analytic platforms and technology tools to drive program effectiveness. Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and nurture partnerships within the campus community and beyond. What you need to know
Salary: $50,000 - $54,000

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
+ Verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Program Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
+ Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of programs, resources, and workshops for students, and other stakeholders.
+ Coordinates institution-wide student tracking efforts and collaborates with colleges/schools and departments to identify ways to make programs and services accessible to undergraduate students.
+ Creates, promotes, and delivers student success programs.
+ Utilizes various reports, student outreach, and other campus relationships to help identify students that need to reconnect.
+ Collaborates with colleges/schools and departments on student high-impact practices.
+ Creates a communication plan and timeline for students.
+ Trains and develops student workers to help support programming.
+ Assess and reports student data and findings to respective university and college/school leaders.
Campus and Student Engagement
+ Provides student support services to current undergraduate students, their families, university faculty, staff, administrators, and resource providers.
+ Monitors student progress and fosters retention of students through mentoring, monitoring of student grades, and other support programs.
+ Uses COMPASS and HOWDY (Banner Systems) to support student success.
+ Maintains notes on interaction with students in EAB Navigate Campus.
Data Assessment and Reporting
+ Uses EAB Navigate to identify students who may need additional support and works with college/schools and their success teams.
+ Serves as a resource to college/schools and student success teams.
+ Prepares and completes reports related to student persistence and success.
Administrative and Budget Management
+ Supervise student workers.
+ Assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events.
+ Provides support to other units within the Office of Student Success.
