Program Coordinator for Teacher Coaching and Development
Overview The Program Coordinator for Teacher Coaching and Development plays a vital role in supporting the professional growth of educators enrolled in the program in the context of the UJA Federation New York Grant (Teacher Residency Program, 2025). This role involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating teacher coaching programs to enhance teaching quality, foster continuous learning, and ensure the successful development of teaching staff within the UJA-Federation/Touro collaboration. The coordinator will work closely with teachers, instructional leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure that the coaching programs align with educational goals and priorities. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: + Program Coordination and Implementation: + Oversee the design, scheduling, and execution of teacher coaching and professional development programs. + Develop and maintain detailed program timelines, ensuring that coaching sessions and workshops are conducted in a timely and effective manner. + Facilitate the onboarding of new teachers into the coaching program and provide ongoing support to existing educators. + Coordinate logistics for coaching sessions, workshops, and professional learning communities (PLCs). + Provide direction to coaches, focusing on improving instructional practices, classroom management, and student engagement strategies. + Hire and process coaches. + Provide guidance on educational best practices, new curriculum initiatives, and state/national standards. + Program Evaluation and Reporting: + Track and assess the effectiveness of coaching sessions through feedback surveys, teacher progress, and student performance metrics. + Prepare regular reports and presentations to share program outcomes with leadership, stakeholders, and funders. + Gather data from teachers and staff to continuously improve the coaching program and adapt it to the needs of the participants. + Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: + Collaborate with school leadership, instructional coaches, and subject area specialists to align coaching activities with school improvement initiatives. + Communicate effectively with teachers, coaches and administrators to ensure that program objectives and expectations are clear. + Assist in fostering a positive and collaborative school culture focused on professional growth and continuous improvement. + Administrative Support: + Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions, teacher progress, and professional development activities. + Assist with budget management for coaching program, including payroll, tracking expenses and resource allocation. + Manage communication with external partners, guest speakers, and coaches. + Other Duties as Assigned: + Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on educational trends and best practices in teacher development. + Assist in the recruitment and selection of new teachers or coaches for the program. Qualifications Education/Experience + Masters degree in Education, Instructional Leadership, or a related field + Ten years of experience in teaching, educational coaching, or teacher development. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities + Certification or training in coaching, mentoring, or teacher development programs. + Experience in leading professional development sessions or workshops + Familiarity with yeshiva and day school curricula. + Strong knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum design, and teacher professional development. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. + Proficiency in educational technology tools and platforms. + Experience with data analysis and program evaluation. Maximum Salary USD $70,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $56,000.00/Yr.
