Job Summary
Performs professional work coordinating various programs supporting Emergency Medical Services Division.
Essential Functions
+ Promotes public safety awareness including Hands-Only CPR, First Aid, AED inspections, Fall Prevention, Drowning Prevention, and other public health initiatives
+ Creates marketing and promotional campaigns for promotion of County EMS operations and to support recruitment efforts.
Coordinates EMS special events; coordinates job fairs related to EMS.
+ Performs specialized, technical and professional work for print, video, social media and television and works in conjunction with the County communications team.
+ Assists in recruitment efforts of potential employees by visiting colleges and universities and participating in external job fair opportunities; monitors on-going recruitment efforts in conjunction with Human Resources and follows up on recruiting opportunities.
+ Maintains EMS website and social media outlets and creates additional features as needed.
+ Designs, prepares and orders EMS informational flyers and promotional materials.
Attends events and functions to promote and inform public about Collier County EMS.
+ Coordinates the activities of assigned support, administrative and office functions; reviews and processes a variety of internal and external reports, forms, invoices, contracts and related documents; prepares related statistical summaries and narrative reports.
+ Receives and responds to requests, inquiries and complaints from the public, other jurisdictions and other County Divisions, Departments and sections; prepares and proofreads correspondence for format, accuracy and completeness; coordinates activities with and provides information to outside contractors and service providers.
+ Summarizes and assembles reports and information, trend analysis and prepares information releases; develops, plans, and drafts various Department documents, reports, projects related material.
+ Performs a variety of administrative duties for the program; assist in the preparation of program budget development documents, tracks expenditures and revenues.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree required.
• Three (3) years of related experience in EMS or Healthcare.
• Candidates without a degree should possess two (2) additional years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.
• BLS Instructor Preferred.
Supplemental information
+ Salary offers above the minimum of the pay grade may be considered based on qualifications.
+ Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared emergency and/or declared emergency. On an incident-by-incident basis, the County’s Administrative Office will make the determination as to who will be required to work.
