Description We are looking for a dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team in Northridge, California. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee and evaluate community health programs funded by grants, ensuring they align with established goals and specifications. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about improving community health in a respectful and dignified manner.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and execution of grant-funded community health programs, ensuring compliance with grant specifications.
• Monitor program activities and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager and Director to align program goals with organizational objectives.
• Supervise program staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of activities.
• Provide ongoing reports and documentation regarding program progress and outcomes.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals and community partners to enhance program delivery.
• Maintain accurate records using electronic medical systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Assist in scheduling program-related activities and events to maximize community engagement.
• Implement strategies to improve program accessibility and effectiveness. Requirements
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience implementing community-based programs, developing outreach strategies, collaborating with community-based organizations and report writing
• Knowledge of local community agencies and resources
• Basic knowledge of budgeting or accounting.
• Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Ability to organize resources and establish priorities
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate program outcomes and prepare detailed reports.
• Knowledge of community health initiatives and grant-funded program management.
• BS/BA degree required or 5 years’ experience in community-based programs or social services.
