Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator, Student Affairs - NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine - Mineola.
In this role, the successful Program Coordinator supports high-impact student success, professional development, and community engagement initiatives, activities, and programs within the Office of Student Affairs. With a focus on academic achievement, this role also advances interpersonal competence and leadership, service learning, personal development, and student well-being. As part of a dynamic, cross-functional team, the Program Coordinator contributes to the design, coordination, and delivery of co-curricular programs. The position also supports daily operations, student services, event planning, and program evaluation requiring strong collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to student-centered service.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate student-facing programs that promote academic achievement, personal growth, and career readiness
Support mentoring, academic advising, and coaching initiatives aligned with institutional goalsMaintain proactive outreach and communications to connect students with academic and developmental resourcesAssist with service learning, volunteer, and engagement initiatives that foster identity and purpose
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to implement leadership development and community-building programsSupport relationships with campus and external partners to strengthen community-based programmingServe as a first point of contact for students seeking guidance and resource referrals
Provide individualized support for students experiencing academic, personal, or transitional challenges. Escalate issues requiring urgent attention as neededContribute to a welcoming and inclusive learning environment through timely and empathetic communicationManage scheduling, logistics, and communications for events, initiatives, and programs
Maintain program records, feedback tools, and evaluation dataCoordinate materials, room reservations, and event support for student-facing programsParticipate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and planning effortsProvide flexible support across Student Affairs based on evolving needs and priorities
Collaborate with the coordinator team to ensure consistency and quality across programsAssist the Student Affairs Manager in improving coordination, communication, and outreach strategiesMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Required. 1-3 Progressively responsible experience providing administrative support, preferably within and academic setting Required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Required. Strong ability to learn and use technology Required. Able to work effectively with faculty, administration and students to achieve goals. Must have a strong ability to work independently, to plan and implement ideas Required.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $71,020.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
