PROGRAM ANALYST
Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS. Responsibilities You will Coordinate and manage the development of nuclear weapons intercontinental policy and written technical guidance to be issued as Directives in support of the Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM). You will serve as a point of contact and is a subject matter expert for the Nuclear Weapons Accident/Incident (NWAI) Program. You will analyze and evaluate on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of the NWAI Program for compliance and meeting established goals and objectives. You will evaluate and analyze on NWAI directives and develops recommendations for command response procedures. You will serve as liaison between Fleet Action Officers, Strategic Weapons Facilities (SWFs) NWAI representatives, OPNAV Action Officers, and all inter-agency and external agencies in matters related to NWAI. You will regularly assess the NWAI program, proposes corrective action, and evaluates results for any program adjustments. You will coordinate, analyzes, and evaluates NW capable activities' NWAI/EM/COOP programs on a cyclical basis ensuring NWAI/EM/COOP policy implementation during on-site staff assistance visits and inspections. You will evaluate and advises all NW-capable commands in achieving a balance between operational requirements, NWAI response, and available resources while maintaining mission effectiveness and readiness. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyze and evaluate policy development, managing Nuclear Weapons Accident/Incident and/or Emergency Management programs/policies. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range may be capped at GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $195,200. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
