Job DescriptionProgram Analyst
GDIT is seeking a Program Analyst to serve as key liaison to other program departments that have specific business function and business analytics.
Collaborate with program departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.Assist with periodic forecast and budget creation for business leadershipProvide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the programs performance against budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.Identifies cost savings and efficiency improvements.Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.Understand the relationships, dependencies and impact of neighboring business functions.Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms.Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.Evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.Collaborate with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests.Skills:
2+ years of experience Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and find solutions to solving them independently in a timely manner.Exhibit good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other applications.Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functionsStrong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and effectively handle multiple competing prioritiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailGreat knowledge of IT processes and willingness to constantly update knowledge.Inbuilt ability to multi-task, working on more than one issue simultaneously.Able to carry out tasks with little or no supervision.Must be able to work independently on tasks which require analysis and action.Work hours may include meetings schedule outside of normal working hours. Demands during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred SkillsFinance / Accounting backgroundKnowledge of Basic Finance / accounting principals
