What we want
The part-time Program Aide provides clinical supervision to second- and third-year law students paired with third- and fourth-year medical students to address the underlying causes of recidivism, including access to care.
What you need to know
Salary: Com pensation will be com m en sur ate based on the selected hire’s education and experience. This is a part-time role.

Other Requirements and Factors: This position is required to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, in accordance with System policy; and further required to complete HIPAA training as a condition of employment, within a reasonable timeframe after employment, and on an as-needed basis thereafter.
Qualifications
Required Education and Licenses
+ Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and completion of approved residency in Psychiatry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Texas Medical License, board eligible in Psychiatry.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working with medical students and with providing clinical supervision.
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of current standards of care, assessment procedures, treatment methods, interventions, and medications.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities
+ Attends and participates in monthly mock intake interviews.
+ Reviews patient’s existing medical records, if applicable.
+ Ensures that the medical student has a comprehensive understanding of the record.
+ Attends interprofessional rounds twice.
+ Reviews the students’ planned approach to the case.
+ Observes the medical student conducting the medical evaluation.
+ Evaluates the medical student using the dedicated Clinical Electives Clinical Evaluation of Student form.
+ Reviews the students’ brief and support refinement.
+ Additional opportunities to contribute to studies, publications, or speaking engagements will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
