Job Title Program Aide Agency Texas A&M University Department Economics Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Glimpse of the Job The Program Aide will provide research and administrative support to Dr. Danila Serra through data management, data cleaning, data analysis, and project coordination. This temporary, project-based role focuses on supporting economics research through quantitative methods and structured project tracking. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced academic environment. Opportunities to Contribute: + Clean research data and help with data analysis and visualization. + Clean and organize large datasets using statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, or Python). + Conduct preliminary data analyses and generate summary statistics. + Create data visualizations to support research findings. + Maintain and update code documentation for reproducibility. + Assist in the different phases of a research project, including approvals and grant reporting. + Track project timelines and deliverables. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Economics or combination of equivalent education and experience + 2 years relevant professional experience in a quantitative research capacity within Economics, Math, Statistics, or related fields. A well-qualified candidate may also possess: + Ph. D degree from an accredited college or university in Economics, Math, Computer Science, Statistics or related fields with substantial quantitative coursework is preferred. + 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a quantitative research capacity within Economics, Math, Statistics, or related fields. + Proficiency in data management and data analysis. + Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. + Strong organizational and administrative skills. + Strong written and oral communication skills + Excellent time management skills. Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience. Special Note: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract.
