Responsibilities*

The University of Michigan Department of Urology is seeking to hire a urologist for a faculty position in the Division of Men's Health and Reconstruction. This appointment would be at the rank of Professor on the University of Michigan Medical School Tenure Track. The effort of the selected candidate will be 1.0FTE, which weekly will be comprised of 15% clinical and OR time and 85% protected time for research and scholarship activities. The candidate must be strongly externally funded by grants for research and must have a commitment to a career as a surgeon-scientist. Required Qualifications*

The selected candidate must have a MD or DO degree and be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Urology. Successful applicants will have completed urology residency and ideally a fellowship in male reproductive medicine and will have at least 10 years of practice at an academic institution. The candidate must have attained the rank of Associate Professor or Professor and hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence is expected. Evidence of extensive scholarly activity (100 peer-reviewed publications or more) is also expected as well as presentations at national and international conferences and meetings.

Background Screening
