As of 2025, the minimum salary for Graduate Nurses (GNs) is $33.75/hour, and $35.50/hour for BSN GNs. GNs must be eligible for State Board Licensure. + BSN preferred. + Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families. + Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handling multiple and changing priorities and specialized equipment. + Strong clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities related to various aspects of patient care. + Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and lead others in the application of the nursing process. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). + Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Graduate Nurses must complete the licensure examination within 4 months of hire or one year of graduation, whichever comes first. UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date, or they may be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU. + UPMC-approved national certification is preferred. + NIH Certification required after hire + CPR certification based on AHA standards, including both a didactic and skills demonstration component, within 30 days of hire. + Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances with renewal. **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Disability/Veteran**
