**Responsibilities:**
+ Builds strong working relationships with patients, colleagues, and teams by demonstrating accountability, motivation, and respect for cultural differences.
+ Maintains work-life balance and models healthy habits, time management, and safe work hours.
+ Identifies and communicates safety hazards to peers and management.
+ Applies adult learning principles to educate patients, families, students, and new staff effectively.
+ Provides clear, supportive teaching throughout care episodes and care transitions.
+ Acts as a mentor or preceptor to students and new team members, fostering continuous learning.
+ Uses the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care to develop personalized care plans and daily goals with patients.
+ Applies critical thinking to assess clinical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.
+ Communicates effectively with the care team, advocating for patient needs and recommending care improvements.
+ Maintains thorough, collaborative patient documentation to ensure continuity of care.
+ Aligns with national and organizational goals to enhance patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.
+ Takes responsibility for professional growth through active participation in shared governance and unit initiatives.

+ Uses research and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes and influence care planning
+ Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, based on developmental stages and individual patient needs.

+ Ability to build positive, caring relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
+ Physically capable of frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients; manual dexterity and mobility required. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
+ Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
+ Act 34
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
