UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital is hiring several Professional Staff Nurse (BSN) in full time, part time, and casual statuses to help support the Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) for its Oakland location. Western Psychiatric Hospital’s Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) is a Psychiatric emergency room that sees over 13,000 patients annually. It is the pulse of the hospital and a busy hub where patients from all over travel to receive an evaluation from a team of experts in the field. The PES is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to determine the best possible and most appropriate disposition for the patient and their family. The PES serves as a resource across UPMC and the behavioral health network for psychiatric care and consultation.
The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team and is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. In this role you have responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
BSN level candidates will be considered for this role The title and pay rate (minimum rate for BSN is $34.25) for these positions may vary depending on nursing education level and years of nursing experience.
Sign-On Bonus Eligibility Details
$15,000 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one (1) year of experience with a two-year work agreement for Full Time Positions ($7,500 for Part Time positions)
