UPMC Hamot Emergency Department is the largest in the Erie region, providing 24/7 care for both minor and major injuries. As a Level 2 Trauma Center, Cardiac Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center, we offer exceptional care. This position is full-time, rotating evenings and nights. Shifts range from 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a.
Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.
The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who plays a crucial role in the care delivery team. They set standards for care quality, hold responsibility and accountability for nursing care, and manage patient care activities using independent judgment and collaboration. Their role includes leadership, partnership, and supervision, and they maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, they demonstrate a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.
