The primary role of the Professional Staff Nurse is to identify a member’s health care needs, facilitate appropriate treatments, and support positive lifestyle changes. The nurse also assesses the need for a member to see a physical or behavioral health provider, provides referral as appropriate, and facilitates scheduling. This is a community-based role and mileage reimbursement is available!

Responsibilities:

Quality Improvement

Participate in quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities. Improve patient satisfaction using research and evidence-based practice.

Relationships and Environment

Build positive relationships with staff and patients. Work effectively in a complex environment with good clinical judgment and critical thinking.

Patient Care

Formulate and implement patient care plans. Assist physicians and coordinate care. Document patient encounters comprehensively.

Professional Development

Engage in professional development and shared governance. Adapt to change and support the transition process.
