UPMC Hamot is hiring a Casual Professional Staff Nurse to join the Mom-Baby unit!
Title and Salary will be determined based upon education and experience.
One year+ of Maternity/Postpartum nursing experience highly preferred.
Purpose: The Professional Staff Nurse, a Registered Nurse and integral member of the care delivery team, holds responsibility, authority, and accountability for delivering high-quality nursing care. This role involves managing patient care for individuals and families through independent judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with healthcare team members. Emphasizing leadership, partnership, and supervision, the nurse fosters strong relationships with physicians, other providers, patients, and families to achieve optimal outcomes across the care continuum. Additionally, the Professional Staff Nurse demonstrates a commitment to both the nursing profession and the broader community.
Responsibilities:
