UPMC Shadyside is currently hiring an experienced Full-Time Night Nurse to support the Admission Team!
About the Position & Unit:
The Admission Team is ideal for Registered Nurses who enjoy working independently and are comfortable floating to all units of the hospital. Working in the Admission Team as an RN, you will see all new patients upon admission to the hospital to complete the admission assessment, document medication history lists, and document mobility screens. They can also assist with obtaining signed consent and advance directives. In addition to these responsibilities, education is a large part of the Admission Team. RNs in this role must serve as a resource to new patients in reference to the hospital and their surroundings. Admission RNs are responsible for providing information about UPMC Shadyside, as well as their current unit, to the patient and their families.
Experienced nurses with 12 months of RN experience will be considered. Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education. Title and salary will be determined based on education and nursing experience.
