Professional Patrol - New Patroller
Overview Base wages PLUS a seasonal loyalty bonus! Ski Patrollers are responsible for delivering emergency services and ensuring the overall safety of guests and employees at Summit Resort. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Respond promptly and professionally to on-mountain emergency calls. Assist with patrol dispatch operations. Conduct regular patrols across assigned terrain to. Monitor and address unsafe behavior. Enforce resort safety rules and educate guests on responsible skiing and riding. Execute trail maintenance duties. Open and close trails per operational protocols. Participate in search and rescue operations, including locating missing guests or equipment. Qualifications What we are looking for: Advanced to expert skier or snowboarder. Comfortable hiking in mountainous terrain and inclement weather while carrying gear (20–30 lbs daily; occasionally 60+ lbs). Physically capable of performing demanding tasks in a winter alpine environment. Strong critical thinking and situational awareness. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must be able to ski or snowboard at a high level of proficiency Medical skills: National or Washington EMT Basic, or Outdoor Emergency Care NSP Certification, Annual BLS Provider CPR Certification. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
