Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus three years of counseling experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Provides treatment supervision for subordinate staff by reviewing their cases; providing assistance and guidance in the application of advanced therapeutic techniques.
+ The development of specialized intervention skills, and compliance with agency and professional standards.
+ Monitors subordinates’ work for completeness and accuracy and provides performance evaluations on all subordinates.
+ Provides individual, family and group therapy to clients with complex substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders.
+ Provides consultation and case management services to select and difficult cases, developing resources and referring them to facilities to help meet client needs.
+ Carries a caseload of complex cases, utilizing advanced social work therapy techniques.
+ Plans, develops and implements specialized sub-programs to address specific populations and/or problem areas.
+ Provides crisis management for clients and their families in person or by phone in cases involving a multiplicity of complex treatment issues.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational.
Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, 4 hours on Friday.
Location: Capital Area Human Services District's Addiction Recovery Services (ARS).
Compensation: The minimum salary for this position is as follows:
+ Professional Counselor 5: $24.10/hourly; $1,928.00/bi-weekly
**Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
