Reports To - Plant Supervisor

This position will be located at our new location in Nisku #100 3615 11 Street Nisku, AB T9E 1C6

 Summary  - The Production Worker is responsible for operating the foam production machines, perform equipment maintenance and understand technical drawings  within a manufacturing plant.  This may involve moving and/or lifting items, unpacking, packing, sorting, etc

 Job Duties

Operate and monitor foam production machines like Skiver, Band saw, Laminators and Punch Press.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on foam production equipment to maintain optimal performance.Read and understand technical drawings.Cut foam boards according to drawing and requirements from each job order. Fuse foam together and fit it into transport cases.Maintain detailed records of production data, machine performance, and any issues encountered.Checking the quality of all foam products that have been produced to meet customer specificationsAssist with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products as needed.Clean work areas and equipmentMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsPerform other labour-related activities

 Requirements

Accuracy in following instructions and eager to learnMust be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbsEfficient job task planning and organizingAbility to read blue prints/drawingsAttention to detailAbility to focus on tasks to completionStrong knowledge English to communicate with supervisors and read directions and drawing

 Work Conditions

Plant setting, Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm; occasional overtime may be requiredFast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, may be on your feet for long periodsWork involves standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling
