Stryten Energy in the Fort Smith, AR area, operates a growing battery manufacturing factory. Through the Industrial Power division, we are an essential business that produces batteries, services and solutions for the Motive and Network Power industries.

 

Stryten is hiring Production Workers for our Fort Smith facility. You could be working to manufacture lead acid batteries in any of these areas noted below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Casting

Have alloys checked and staged for melting potSet up casting machinesPerform quality checks, looking for things like missing members, flash, and cracksHave forklift move to full pallets to storage for curing organized for production schedule

Pasting

Set up pasting machinePerform quality checksFeed plates and / or moves stacks across rollers with minimal handling to drying rackHave forklift move to full drying racks to steam huts for curingMove cured plates to storage area organized for production schedule

Assembly

Assembles batteries from components staged on line, may involve duties like loading, burning, sealing, testing or stacking

Charge & Cycle

Jars are filled with required amount of acid allowing plates to soak.Connect bank of batteries togetherInitiate battery chargingWork batteries through charge and discharge cycles to specificationsTest batteries for finishingWash batteries for finishing

Finish & Pack

Configures batteries based on order and / or standard operating procedures (SOP)Prepares the batteries for shipment, including such duties as crating, strapping packing additional parts based on order and / or operating procedureBoxing up parts for specific batteries depending on upcoming orders and SOPMay involve loading trucks Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.One to three years of manufacturing experience, preference given to experience with batteries and / or mechanical processes.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical instructions.Effectively communicate with co-workers, customer and management.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
