How You Will Make an Impact The Production Technician is responsible for assembling generators. Responsibilities + Assemble mechanical components according to specifications. + Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary. + Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job. + Use the correct tools and use them safely. + Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor. + Abide by all policies and procedures. + Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor. + Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications + High school diploma or GED is required. + Certification from a vocational school or trade school preferred. + 2 to 5 years of assembly experience is preferred. + Solid knowledge and understanding of basic mechanic tools. + An aptitude for mechanical assembly. + Time management and organizational skills. + Effective communication and customer service skills. + Read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports. + Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity. + A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US. + Clean motor vehicle record. + Excellent hand-eye coordination. + Must be able to perform repetitive tasks. + The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time and lifting over 60 pounds. + To best service our customers, all employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone with or without reasonable accommodation.
