“A Day in the Life”

As the Production Team Lead you will lead a crew of employees in servicing and repairing modular buildings.  Coordinate and prioritize work schedule for production crew, assign modular mechanics and general maintenance employees. Verify quality according to our standards. Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines. Promote a culture of teamwork and mutual support and recognizing collaborative efforts.


“What You’ll Do”

Coordinate and prioritize work schedule for production crew, assign modular mechanics tasks, learn/train as needed, and verify quality according to our standardsPerform preventative maintenance and construction on modular buildings to include, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and cleaningMonitor the work of team members to meet productivity, quality and safety requirementsMaintain accurate records of production activities and report to managementEnsure team maintains tools, supplies and work area consistent with the area’s 5S checklistActively participate in safety meetings and safety training of crew members. Carry out current industry safety practices to include knowledge of OSHA requirements. Conduct daily and weekly safety audits and document results. Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, address challenges and share updatesMentor and develop team by providing guidance, support and training to enhance their skills and career growthProvide continuous training of crew members and new employees; coaches and counsels team members as needed with regards to responsibilities of their positionsDevelop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costsAct as a backfill for other leaders when necessaryOther duties as assigned


“Must Haves”

Prior experience of at least 4-6 years in the construction or related industry performing and leading general construction tradesAble to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and Company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans providedProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Basic knowledge of database management systems. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologiesDemonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to effectively guide and motivate a teamDeliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standardsAbility to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and vendorsStrong problem-solving skills, the ability to take initiative and being a self-starter in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated flexibility in handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyAbility to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environmentAble to take, record and follow standard measurements and cut or separate materials to specific measurements or quantities. Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelinesAble to read Company’s construction documents (provided in English) and provide guidance to construction team to complete necessary workAble to work outside in variable weather conditionsValid Driver’s License 


"Nice to Haves"

Prior experience overseeing the work of a team of at least 6 employees desiredPrior experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other specialties preferredAbility to complete material and labor take offs from blueprints a plusKnowledge of current building codes to include 2016 CBC and 2018 IBC and ADA a plusFluency in spoken and written Spanish preferredKnowledge of LEAN a plus


Special Considerations:

Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the dayMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objectsAble to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
