Job Summary

Provided leadership to the production teams to deliver the business results and expectations on a day-to-day basis. This position requires having required skills set to handle employee performance and operational issues related to the personnel under his/her charge, quality systems, and manufacturing processes. The position is responsible for ensuring that standard production processes are maintained, and that production volumes and quality goals are met.

Job Details/Responsibilities People Management: Lead (organize, plan, direct and control) his/her production teams to achieve the expected quality, schedule, staffing and safety goals. Motivates and energizes personnel to obtain top performance. Responsibilities include personnel scheduling, evaluating discipline and coaching that includes selection and training of staff. Ensures adequate communication to staff of all required HR related information.  Develop and execute the required plans to accomplish the production goals in quality, cost, and service by maintaining a safe environment. Have full responsibility / ownership of his/her area of production. This includes design and implementation of systems to evaluate the state of efficiency, full understanding of the capacity models related to his/her production lines, compliance of his/her area of production and implementing and maintaining 5S.  Serve as liaison with the other production supervisors in sharing of product, process or equipment related information. Reconciles with prior or following supervisor to ensure that the transition between shifts is efficient and accurate.  Prepare standards reports to communicate production progress, accomplishments, and issues on a frequent basis. This may include leading and daily meetings with staff and peers to discuss issues and determine future production schedules. Evaluates and validates daily production metrics and establishes mechanisms to ensure that all processes follow standard procedures.  Promotes continuous improvement by implementing and monitoring processes to increase quality, reduce cost and improve overall team productivity.  Ensure compliance with all TPR procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.  Other duties as assigned.

Capacity to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
Must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and capable of communicate both in Spanish & English. 
Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and MFG software. 
Knowledge of ISO and quality systems is a plus. 
Must have good people skills with the ability to energize and motivate a staff.

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration (Industrial Management preferred). 
Minimum of (1) one-year prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing industry with proven track record that demonstrates leadership. Medical device, pharmaceutical, or electronic industries are preferred.
