**Production Supervisor – Third Shift, (7:30 PM – 6:00 AM)**
Responsible for leading day-to-day operations in the fabrication and welding department, with a focus on lean manufacturing principles. This role supports the production of large-scale wastewater treatment plant equipment using carbon and stainless steel materials.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
+ Implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing initiatives
+ Managing inventory control and workflow efficiency
+ Promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the third shift.
**Onsite Position: 1828 Metcalf Ave. Thomasville, GA 31792**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and coordinate a team of approximately 25 direct reports in fabrication and welding.
+ Supervise daily operations to meet production schedules and quality benchmarks.
+ Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
+ Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste.
+ Manage inventory levels to ensure material availability and minimize downtime.
+ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
+ Oversee departmental budget and control operational expenses.
+ Facilitate shift meetings and communicate updates to management.
+ Stay current with industry trends and integrate best practices into operations.
+ Ensure routine maintenance of equipment and facilities to support uninterrupted production.
**Quality Control:**
**Implementing and maintaining quality control measures**
**Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations**
**Conducting quality inspections and addressing any issues or concerns**
**Implementing corrective actions to improve product quality**
**Team Management:**
**Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.**
**Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.**
**Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.**
**Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.**
**Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.**
**Qualifications:**
**Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.**
**Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement practices**
**Effective communication and interpersonal skills.**
**Preferred: SAP and Workday experience**
**Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts**

**The estimated salary range for this position is $72,300.00 to $85,000.00 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
