Production Supervisor II
Purpose & Scope: responsible for providing direction and oversight for the safe and efficient operations at our Columbia, MO facility. Ensure daily production is started at the targeted start times each day, and there is a fluid handoff to Sanitation team members. Implement Lean manufacturing practices and develop and measure KPI’s to drive continuous improvement across the operations teams on the shift.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and promote, with leading by example, safety trainings and compliance for all employeesExecute Plant scheduling of finished productDirect Operations shift activities across the plant floor Champion Lean manufacturing training and shop floor education for the shiftEnsure effective use of operating methods and procedures to eliminate problems and improve product qualityReview and analyze daily production data and align resources to achieve daily work planAchieve operational goals regarding safety, quality, yields, labor and cost savingsImplement continuous improvement processes to improve yields and profitabilityAssist HR with hiring, training and developing all Line leads and hourly team membersCoach/develop workforce to maintain employee engagement and identify the next generation of leaders Responsible for working relations between USDA, FSQA and other plant personnel Must be able to work overtime and on weekends Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:
40 to 50 hours per weekPlant setting 100%Willing to travel for trainings and intercompany support when needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of food manufacturing experience, meat industry experienced preferredCollege or technical degree with emphasis on critical thinking; or an equivalent combination of related experience and educationBasic understanding of meat processing, including equipment and packagingGood interpersonal relations with the ability to handle conflict.Team player with leadership skillsCompetent with Computers and various office software; SAP experience strongly preferredOutstanding communication skills in order to lead, engage and motivate individuals and/or teams.Experience with Planning and Scheduling toolsDetail oriented and strong analytical skills; Experienced with troubleshooting operational issues and implementing safe solutionsHighly organized

Manages: Production Line leads and hourly personnel
