Responsibilities:
Evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.Establish production schedule for batching and casting side of production to meet customer and shipping deadlinesWork closely with Secondaries Supervisor and Shipping to prioritize work flow through all departments and ensure shipping deadlines are metStrive to increase productivity across all product lines.Maintain and help enhance all aspects around Corporate and Plant Safety policies and programs.Continue to improve leadership abilities in or to increase subordinate’s skills and capabilities.Responsible for training, process improvements, KPI reporting, employee relations within casting departmentsParticipate in all cross functional team activities including but not limited to Safety, Process Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, Maintenance, Management, and Monthly Ops review.Engage in and promote participation in Safety Awareness, VCP’s, Process Mapping, Kaizens, and Recognition to lead a culture changing with a winning attitude and greater acceptance around change. Work with Production Manager to create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.Responsible for yearly vacation scheduling of Manufacturing Hourly employees.Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.Champion of safety, health, and environmental issuesRequired Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skillsBasic math skillsHighly motivated and Metrics/KPI Data drivenMust be able to work in noisy environmentsMust be able to work extended hours when requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. as requiredAbility to bend, stoop, walk, twist, lift, stand, push and pull materialStrong time management and priorities management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsComputer knowledge of Microsoft Office. BPCS experience a plus.Education and Experience:
