Production Supervisor Requisition ID: 45843 Job Location(s): Blackman Township, MI, US Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Danfoss Power Solutions Segment Job Function: Supply Chain and Operations Work Location Type: On-site **The Impact You'll Make** Assembly (and related pre & post processes), Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. This role is responsible for their respective department team members, processes, and functions related to the assembly (and related pre & post processes), shipping/receiving of products from the Jackson, MI. location. This role will be responsible for maintaining implemented SOPs, training, and managing staff, and will be expected to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while improving business processes. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position will report to the Operations Manager. **What You’ll Be Doing** **Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.** • Provide a safe, clean, and secure working environment for all team members. • Motivate, inspire, and foster teamwork within the assigned areas/teams to ensure that performance and KPI (SPQDC) targets are achieved. • Oversee overall flow of material from production order kitting and flow to assembly (and pre& post processes like Kitting, Test, Paint, etc.) • Ensure metrics are tracked and updated (as assigned) • Oversee completion of daily/weekly/monthly shipping updates in multiple systems related to the transfer and shipment of inbound and outbound orders • Manage daily outbound shipments including all export activities together with carriers, customs brokers, and other trade compliance partners while prioritizing Expedited Shipments. • Support On-Time Delivery objectives by collaborating with Customer Care team to ensure orders are being prioritized and shipped on time. • Identifies customer appointed freight that has not been dispatched and effectively escalates through cross-functional segments to ensure adherence to On-Time Delivery. • Provide regular updates relating to the status of shipments. • Administer supervision, training, scheduling, and guidance to assigned team members. Assign work to staff, setting priorities for each. • Respond proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints and other employee relations matters. • Maintain transportation records applicable to billing, premium freight cost, etc. • Support and coach Team Coordinators and Operators. • Lead and participate in performance reviews for assigned team members. • Maintain strong floor presence and act as servant leaders. • Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned to this position at the manager's discretion. **What We're Looking For** **Required (basic) qualifications** • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
