Production Supervisor

If you are a new graduate looking for an opportunity to grow in manufacturing, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you on 2nd shift! Based in our Shakopee, Chanhassen, MN location, as a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift you will be responsible for supervising a team of manufacturing employees to achieve work group objectives related to production goals, safety, quality, continuous improvement, schedule, cost, and training, while helping to create a positive working environment.  This job is a great place to start at Emerson, with opportunities to learn about our product, processes, customers, and systems.  

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Set team objectives related to Safety, Quality and Production and monitor progress and results. Plan daily work assignments and rotation schedules for assigned employees to meet team objectives. Participate in the hiring and selection process to fill open positions. Maintain and support ongoing training programs and create new programs as needed.  Provide coaching and actionable feedback that is both constructive and positive to aid in employee development. Conduct timely, effective performance reviews in accordance with company guidelines. Communicate and lead discussion regularly with employees on matters such as business conditions, goals, trends, accomplishments, pay plan updates, and information on benefits and policies. Collaborate and foster open dialogue within your work unit and with peers. Participate in or lead Continuous Improvement projects and activities.  Who You Are:

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $58,000-$62,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
