Production Supervisor

•  Execute production schedules efficiently, collaborating with procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams.
•  Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs in partnership with site engineers.
•  Lead and train the production team (typically 15–35 direct reports), focusing on coaching, mentoring, and development.
•  Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, HACCP/SQF, and regulatory standards.
•  Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, CI, 5S, KPI tracking).
•  Manage labor costs, production KPIs, and minimize losses.
•  Maintain production reporting systems (e.g. SAP, Kronos).
•  Promote a positive, safe working environment in partnership with EHS teams.

Qualifications and skills

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Food Science, or related discipline) OR Minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

Experience:
2–5 years of experience in similar roles within food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, including leadership responsibilities.

 

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies. Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, GMP, and other food safety systems. Strong technical and analytical skills, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.


Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively across functions, and solve complex problems. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Approximately 80–90% of time will be spent on the production floor, with 10–20% dedicated to strategic planning and office-based work.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $105,272 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
