Summary:
The Production Supervisor at the NA Pump QRCs is responsible for the day-to-day activities on the shop floor and direct management of the skilled labor team. This role will work closely with the QRC Manager and the Master Scheduler to ensure that the right resources are in place to be able to meet production goals with a focus on quality and on-time performance.
The Production Supervisor will work closely with individual associates and team leads to develop training plans to aid in the growth and development of the operations team. In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining a work schedule for all associates on the team to ensure resources are available to meet customer needs. The Production Supervisor will report directly to the site QRC Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for the Pump Repair Shop operations Effectively lead and manage people resources as measured by safety performance, turnover, and employee development sponsorship Meet or exceed on-time performanceManage shop resources to meet labor hour budgetEnsure all work is done efficiently following the direct and indirect guidelines Drive CIP culture throughout organization and meet cycle time reduction goals Attend and actively participate in pass gate meetings Work with Master Scheduler to manage order risks Review and Approve routers release to the shop floor. Escalate parts, manpower, and capacity concerns that affect schedule to Master Scheduler and/or QRC Manager Review and ensure required documentation for job progress is complete Manage and improve COPQ, OTD, rework and scrap metrics Manage outsourced deliverables are on schedule, job packages are properly assembled, and scopes are clearly communicated Monitor capacity and initiate manufacturing outsourcing as required to meet deadlines Work with assigned Project Coordinators, relaying job status and providing project timelines/schedules Participate and implement programs/procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance. Manage the customer experience by occasionally acting as a point of contact for orders. Provide customer updates as requested Attend and actively participate in order hand off meetings (Pass Gate 1), and effectively manage the Pass Gate Process throughout the order lifecycle
Requirements:
High School Diploma with some college preferred 5+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing or repair operationExperience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneouslySound understanding of assembly processes and procedures in a manufacturing or repair environmentGood working knowledge of pumps & rotating equipmentExperience managing/directing all shop activities for a repair manufacturing facilityCIP training and experienceAn understanding of Material Planning, Inventory Control, and Material Requirements PlanningExcellent leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skillsBenefits Starting from Day 1:
