The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Storage and Warehouse Supervisor. Responsible for monitoring supply operations and exposing logistical shortcomings in processes and procedures that hinder or cause lag in time sensitive supply related interactions. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Works with a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. Comprehend complicated logistical issues in the supply pipeline and explore for correctness. Support and mentor employees in all essential warehouse functions and work to improve them. Routinely troubleshoot issues and work with employees to resolve them. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between sections. Interprets, understands, and accounts for daily, weekly, monthly reports within responsible areas. Effectively communicates with and able to motivate employees to drive productivity and achieve goals. Assist with evaluating work section capacity and manpower planning. Ensures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Job Duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements. Promotes a safe work environment as well as meets safety requirements complying with all policies or regulations set forth by CTDI, OSHA, and various government agencies. MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Extensive use of a desktop computer and multi-functional device. Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A). Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP). Steel-toed shoes may be required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Activities will revolve around extended periods of sitting and communicating via email and telephone. Visual acuity necessary for computer work and data manipulation. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust. Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport. Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation. EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) years of supply operations/logistical management experience is required. Must have experience and comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in Supply Management. Must be proficient in Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A). Must be proficient in Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP). SKILLS: Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and logistical management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure an effective approach to resolving issues of logistical concern. Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access preferred. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable. SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES: At times will be expected to function in a supervisory capacity.
