Production Supervisor
Job Title: Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shop teams to ensure that manufacturing processes are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance

with company policies and customer requirements. This role involves leading shop hourly team members, ensuring quality control, and driving continuous

improvement initiatives to meet production targets. Responsible for time keeping duties including schedule changes, vacation approval and weekly timecard approval.

Responsibilities:

Lead daily production activities to meet production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements.Supervise, coach, and mentor production staff, ensuring proper training and development.Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or resources to optimize output and minimize downtime.Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all products meet or exceed customer expectations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality assurance, and engineering, to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency.Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving throughput, and enhancing safety.Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.Serve as the key point of contact for production-related issues and communicate updates to management.Maintain proper documentation of production activities, including labor reporting, material usage, and production outputs.Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of all production equipment, coordinating with the maintenance team for repairs or preventive maintenance as needed.Coordinate and administer training records for shop employees.Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Strong leadership experience with a focus on production supervision in a manufacturing environment.Proven track record in managing a production team and driving improvements in efficiency, safety, and quality.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and effectively manage team performance.Proficient in analyzing production data and using metrics to drive decision-making.Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce a culture of safety on the production floor.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.Minimum of Three years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.Proven experience with production scheduling, quality control, and team management.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a high-pressure environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
