Principal Accountabilities + Manage Production Operations + Set priorities while maintaining effective operations and cost factors. + Perform machine set-up and maintenance as required. + Review production schedules to ensure efficiency. + Investigate production problems and offer solutions. + Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner. + Monitors Production Activities + Enforce compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements. + Provide management with reports regarding production operations. + Develop Production Strategy + Work with Engineering staff adjusting machine to improve production and quality of products. + Examine time, materials, costs and labor needed for production. + Provide ideas for new production methods, procedures and policies + Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing, 5S, and root cause analysis. + Ensures Smooth Operations + Ensure production team functions productively and perform assigned tasks efficiently. + Train, coach, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and efficiency. + Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production workers. + Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance metrics. + Lead team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety topics. + Act in leadership capacity as it relates to assisting other Production Supervisors. + Maintain a helpful and friendly working relationship with fellow employees. + Comply with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements. + Perform any other duties as assigned **.** Knowledge / Skills / Experience + Professional skills and knowledge of the manufacturing process of our product. + The ability to professionally and efficiently correspond with leadership via phone and email. + Excellent attention to detail. + Ability to interact in a personable, professional and courteous manner to all. + Ability to self-manage multiple projects and deadlines in an accurate and timely fashion. + Maintenance of Mytex information in a confidential manner. + Pursue constant improvement of customer service and professional skills. + Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. (Offset: High School Diploma with 10 years’ experience) + Experience: 5+ year’s supervisory related experience. + Lean Manufacturing and plastic compounding experience are a plus. + Experience with a forklift. Certification is a plus. + Experience managing a team of production operators is preferred. + Ability to apply concept of basic math skills. + Ability to lift/move up to 60lbs.
