Production Supervisor

A Day in Your Life at MKS

As a Production Supervisor, you lead our dedicated team assembling and testing for MKS products. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of these critical power delivery systems, meeting demanding schedules while upholding MKS Instruments' standards of excellence.                  

You Will Make an Impact By:

Directly supervise, coach, motivate, and develop a team of assembly technicians and test operators.Schedule resources effectively to meet daily/weekly production targets and customer deadlines.Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues promptly.Promote a positive, collaborative, safety-conscious, and high-performance work environment.Ensure adequate training on assembly procedures, test protocols, safety standards and quality requirements.Ensure strict adherence to detailed assembly instructions, work orders, drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).Monitor production metrics (Output, Yield, Scrap, OEE, Cycle Time) and implement correction actions to meet or exceed targetsIdentify and eliminate bottlenecks to optimize workflow and resource utilization.Manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) levels and ensure timely movement of product through the line.Actively identify and lead/participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.Manage and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) effectively.Manage timekeeping, attendance, and vacation approvals.Order and maintain necessary supplies and consumables.Ensure accurate inventory transactions within the ERP/MRP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Prepare production reports and communicate status effectively to management.Support New Product Introduction(NPI) transitions into production.

Skills You Bring:

Associate's degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. (Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience).Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing environment.Excellent leadership, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills.Strong understanding of electronic components, PCBA, wiring harnesses, and mechanical assemblyProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilitiesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.Ability to motivate teams, handle conflict, and delegate effectively.Commitment to safety and quality excellence.Flexibility to work occasional off-shifts or weekends as needed.Proficient in reading technical drawings/blueprints, specifications, bill of materials and CAD files.Proficient in using ERP systems.The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
