Trinity Rail is searching for a talented leader to fill the open position of Production Supervisor in our Saginaw, TX plant!  In this role you will establish production plans and technical project objectives to meet the short and long term goals of the plant by setting production lines based on manufacturing schedule while maintaining efficiency, material supply, production quality, and staffing resources and volume required to meet demand. 

What you'll Do:

Participate in establishing strategic plans and objectives  Supervisor manufacturing and/or production operations including assembly, machinery, and processing Oversee day-to-day operations of the group in a production environment Select, assign, evaluate and instruct non-exempt workforce in various manufacturing projects Interpret, administer, and execute policies/ procedures Lead /implement process improvements Oversees day-to-day operations of the group in a production and/or repair environment. Interpret, administer, execute policies/procedures. Authority for personnel action (hire, suspend, lay off, recall, promote and discipline employees) Train and ensure safety of team members Monitor schedule to accomplish manufacturing goals Exercise independent judgment Typically, supervise up to 50 workers within a product line

What you'll need:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production supervisory position in a manufacturing environment Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or similar field desired, but not required, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group as well as to perform as a member of the management team Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material and manpower needs Ability to effectively communicate/interface at all levels, verbal and written Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
