The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of of process operators to ensure that production standards are consistently met. This role involves coordinating daily production activities, conducting audits and inspections, and providing guidance and support to team members. The Production Supervisor works closely with other department leaders to develop and implement production improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, addressing nonconformance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities + Monitor and track chemical inventory levels + Order supplies and materials as needed + Monitor Equipment systems and control panels. + Ensure processes run safely, efficiently, and within quality standards. + Train new process operators + Manage and schedule operators and technicians. + Report operational data and status to upper management. + Communicate with maintenance, quality control, engineering, and logistics teams. + Recommend or implement improvements to increase efficiency. + Monitor production metrics (e.g., yield, waste, downtime). Safety and Compliance: + Enforce safety protocols and procedures + Conduct regular safety training for production team members + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines + Conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns or hazards + Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records. Team Mentorship: + Empowerment: Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development. + Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams to align processes and achieve goals. Qualifications: + 3-5 + years in process operations, preferably with supervisory experience. + In-depth understanding of production management principles and practices. + Leadership, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong knowledge of production processes + Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, six sigma, or continuous improvement method is a plus.
