Production Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of the Operations Leadership Team, the Production Supervisor will have broad responsibilities for Operations performance and associate leadership for one or more Production Areas at XOS.  With a direct reporting relationship with the Area associates, the Supervisor will manage the team to achieve production goals, ensure quality on the production lines, drive productivity, and lead continuous improvement activities within the Area of responsibility.  The Supervisor will be accountable for Area and Operations Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and will drive that accountability to their direct reports to achieve business goals.  The Supervisor is expected to be a player/coach with the ability to backfill Operations associates in the event of planned or unplanned absences in order to maintain productivity on the line.  Lastly, the Supervisor will provide their associates with performance and development management and ensure their team is engaged in the work and culture of XOS.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the value stream production of electromechanical assemblies while driving improvements to KPIsAccountable for daily management reviews using SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity) boardsWorking with Production Planning and other Operations Leaders, schedule and prioritize Area associate workload to meet production goals.Assist with the onboarding process of new hires and the required training for all associates within the AreaEvaluate associate performance and conduct reviews. Coach, train, and counsel associates to improve performanceEnsure compliance with professional standards such as occupational health and safety and customer requirementsMaintain a clean and safe working environmentDrive targeted, sustainable improvement to SQDIP metricsAccountable for inventory control within assigned Areas, including cycle count accuracy.Build, maintain, and improve standard work, 5S and Veralto Enterprise System (VES) culture to drive SQDIP performance.Achieve on-time delivery objectives while achieving inventory targets.Ensure associates follow appropriate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste.Manage operations costs including BOM and labor costs.Participate in corrective and preventative action practices as it relates to product quality, plant safety, and environmental compliance.Build deep knowledge in Area production processes with the goal of becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in these processes and production equipment.As an SME, be able to close gaps in productivity due to absences.Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans on all relevant production equipment.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing organization with a metric and results driven culture.Demonstrated leadership skills, with a strong ability to create followership.Demonstrated ability to properly balance the management of day-to-day results with systemic problem solving and root cause analysis.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.Evidence of driving continuous improvement through others.

Education (List of required Education, Certifications, Training)

BS Degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or STEM field preferred, or equivalent years of experience (5+).Will consider candidates with proven leadership experience and results.STEM field preferred.

Travel Requirements

Flexibility for up to 5% overnight travel is expected.Travel typically associated with off-site training, Veralto company benchmarking, or supplier related visits.

This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $85000 - $95000 USD per year.
