Qualifications:

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Production Supervisor 2nd Shift in our Carson, California location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California.
Essential Functions:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture parts or products.Supervise work teams and individuals in the areas of responsibilities of manufacturing to meet customer quality and on-time delivery needs.Supervise work teams and individuals in the areas of responsibilities of manufacturing to comply with company policies.Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.Schedule and/or approve overtime and vacations.Manages teams by establishing monthly and quarterly performance goalsAssist in setting and achieving productivity and quality targets for the various teams.Coach team or manufacturing personnel in their continuous improvement efforts.Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.Maintains time and production records.Develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.Review daily production reports and forms.Attend Daily Manufacturing Review MeetingSupport Manufacturing Manager in meeting department goals and objectives.Essential Skills:
Computer proficiency, especially in navigating manufacturing software and daily reporting toolsIntermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel — ability to use formulas, generate reports, and analyze production metrics is essentialFamiliarity with ERP systems, QAD preferred, and digital inventory tracking is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Ability to speak effectively before groups of management and employees.Highly organized and detail oriented; with excellent time management skills.
