**The Opportunity**
**This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division.** Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. **What You’ll Work On**
+ Responsible for the overall results for a single shift of a manufacturing operations line.
+ Coordinate activities for the shift team to ensure delivery of all key performance metrics, including those in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, Finance, Productivity, and People.
+ Lead efforts required in delivering quality and compliance performance for the shift/ line of accountability.
+ Initiate, manage, and make decisions that impact product quality. Manage budget accountability for Headcount, Overtime, and direct expenses for a shift and/or line.
+ Track, trend, and continuously improve budgetary performance for direct expenses, headcount, overtime (OT), Operating Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), production (Unit/Hour, Pounds/Hour), Material Usage Variance (MUV), and Scrap and Cost Improvement Projects (CIP).
+ Drive OEE performance, understand the drivers, and develop and execute plans around the improvement of line performance and quality metrics with support from the direct manager.
+ Understand all key performance indicators, driving and executing plans for improvement through team engagement.
+ Drive a culture of engagement through the team and department.
+ Directly supervises the team and participates in staffing activities.
+ Develop all line personnel by securing appropriate training, providing mentoring, and assigning progressively challenging stretch responsibilities within the scope of the team and department accountabilities.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, science, food technology or engineering and 2+ years' work experience **OR** equivalent combination of education and work experience
+ Proven leadership capabilities
+ Project planning & execution experiences
+ Process control knowledge
+ Experience with working on Continuous Improvement Projects
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing work environment
+ Experience utilizing project planning and execution tools
+ Knowledge of FDA – 21 CFR and other regulatory requirements for Infant Formula

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
