Production Scheduler

Role Definition Balances demand and supply at a facility over an extended period of time by closely aligning with S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning). In the short term supports the creation of daily production schedules as per demand, negotiates and resolves scheduling issues, tracks inventory levels, and ensures deadlines are being met. Responsibilities • Securing forecast information, review forecast change and utilize forecast to develop a valid production plan and an achievable master schedule for the business unit. • Analyzing current demands and trends and using this knowledge to forecast future client demands; devising plans to optimize the scheduling process and the supply chain. •Reviewing demand change cycle over cycle and working with Inter-company to understand real demand and plan master schedule based on capacity. •Auditing order coverage, evaluate acceptance of the over order request after understanding material, production plan, technical and logistics perspective. •Monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with up/downstream teams to ensure that all inventory needs are met for production, and resolving any inventory-related issues. •Preparing reports and documentation related to scheduling and production; ensuring adherence to organizational policies and standards. •Overseeing the creation of comprehensive production schedules based on customer demands, resolving any conflicts, and ensuring that the schedules get delivered to the respective teams. •Ensuring alignment with manufacturing operations. Validating correct hard and soft capacities. •Optimize OTD process by using Lean, PDCA... methodology via some digital tools. •Significant conflict resolution/management between departments and/or individuals with conflicting objectives. Degree and Skill requirement Requires a degree in supply chain, production, transportation background related major. Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads. Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability. Knowledge of procedures and tools for scheduling and controlling production runs; ability to utilize knowledge of daily manufacturing processes to assure quality deliverables. Advanced analytical and problem-solving, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
