This position requires ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately. Must be 18 years of age minimum and able to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and long periods of standing. Field labor activities occur outdoors for long periods of time with exposure to the elements. Team members may need to drive company vehicles during work hours. Compliance with company and USDA-APHIS trainings and policies is required. Weekend work and extended hours will be required during the peak seasons. Indoor Responsibilities may include: receiving shipments and supplies, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, shelling or counting seed, data collection using electronic devices, data labeling, and warehousing seed work. Working in cold room storage. Individuals may also be responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas. Outdoor Field Responsibilities include: Assisting with planting, staking research plots, pollinating, data collection using electronic devices, research plot maintenance, hand harvest, process improvement projects, preventive maintenance of equipment, aiding with spraying, and other special projects. Skills/Experience: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written tasks and safety instructions delivered in English, High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 40lbs, ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, experience with or ability to learn Microsoft Office and iOS devices for data collection, ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately.
