**Role Purpose**
The Site Scheduling is responsible for translating the master production schedule (MPS) into a detailed, executable finite schedule for the manufacturing site. This includes planning production at the SKU, line or department, day/shift/hour level to ensure efficient use of assets, labor, and materials while maintaining customer service expectations. The role collaborates closely with operations, integrated planning, logistics, quality, and procurement to adjust in real time to operational changes and minimize disruptions.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Finite Scheduling**
+ Develop a detailed, finite production schedule (hourly/shift-level) that aligns with the MPS and reflects actual resource availability (equipment, materials, staffing).
+ Generate, release, and manage work orders in the system, ensuring timely execution aligned with the production plan.
+ Use scheduling systems (e.g. MES) to model constraints and optimize production flow.
+ Translate planning requirements into production-ready sequences that minimize changeovers and maximize efficiency.
+ Adjust the schedule in real time in response to changes in the plan from integrated planning caused by disruptions, operational delays, or urgent customer orders.
**Execution Support**
+ Monitor execution of the production schedule and identify gaps or deviations.
+ Collaborate with operations daily to address schedule adherence issues and re-sequence work orders when needed.
+ Partner with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to resolve process parameters issues impacting schedule performance.
**Data & Systems**
+ Maintain accurate scheduling parameters including production rates, downtime requirements, and shift calendars.
+ Input and update schedule data in MES or ERP systems to ensure visibility and alignment across planning and production.
+ Perform “what-if” analysis for potential disruptions or short-term changes in demand/supply.
**Additional Responsibilities**
**Operational Integration**
+ Represent manufacturing operations in daily operational meetings with planning to communicate risks, adjustments, and support decisions.
+ Ensure that the finite schedule supports overall site service, inventory, and cost targets.
+ Monitor short-term KPIs such as schedule adherence, OEE, and equipment reliability.
**Process & Continuous Improvement**
+ Maintain and mature the finite scheduling process across shifts and teams.
+ Contribute to onboarding of new schedulers and process documentation.
+ Participate in improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Lean) and share best practices with other lines/sites.
+ Support digital scheduling maturity by improving system input quality and helping develop advanced MES capabilities.
**Experiences/Education - Required**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, shop floor coordination, or integrated planning.
+ Proficiency in MES or scheduling systems and basic ERP functions.
+ Deep understanding of manufacturing asset capabilities and constraints.
+ Ability to perform scenario planning and interpret production data (rates, yields, OEE).
+ Familiarity with short-term planning processes and finite scheduling logic.
+ Problem solving and decision-making under time constraints
+ Attention to detail and proactive issue resolution
+ Effective verbal communication and alignment across function
+ Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic production environment
+ Continuous improvement and system/process thinking
