Production Planner

This role is responsible for facilitating production planning activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. The position supports on-time delivery to customers by coordinating resources, managing materials and process orders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient and responsive manufacturing operations. In addition, this role manages the shipping team and leads logistics coordination to ensure seamless outbound operations, efficient transportation planning, and high levels of customer service.


Some of the things you will do:
•    Support SAP enterprise system functions including Master Recipe, Bill of Material, MRP settings, and process order management for the Savannah production site.
•    Develop and maintain production plans in coordination with Area Supervisors to meet shipment schedules and On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery targets.
•    Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly production reports; address discrepancies, process order settlements, and take corrective actions as needed.
•    Collaborate with teams across Production, Logistics, and Corporate Planning on raw material demand, intercompany planning, emergency orders, and network disruptions.
•    Support blend-off planning, SMOG and redzone reduction initiatives, and product disposal in coordination with EHS personnel.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including process yield optimization and cost/waste reduction strategies.
•    Manage Impress production and packaging planning, raw material procurement, and toll manufacturer communications.
•    Assist with inventory control through cycle count coordination, weekly reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.
•    Support incident investigations related to production issues and provide backup coverage for Area Supervisors during absences.
•    Ensure proper handling of chemicals and waste in compliance with RCRA and OSHA standards; maintain accurate records and perform other duties as assigned.


Education:
•    College degree preferred


Skills:
•    Team player with strong work ethic, high level of engagement and able to work with diverse groups including plant personnel, internal functional groups, and external vendors
•    Basic computer skills (MS Office Applications). Intermediate proficiency using with Word, Outlook, and Excel 
•    Must be detailed oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
•    Must possess good written and oral communication skills.  Basic skills in English (writing and speaking).
•    Ability to prioritize work, attention to detail.


Experience:
•    3 plus years of experience in chemical manufacturing/handling preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $75,900.00 and $126,500.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
