You will take pride in producing accurate and quality production schedules which account for service level targets, inventory targets, plant resources and costs optimization. You will drive continuous improvement of people and processes across the planning and vendor scheduling functions. You will be the primary contact for MFG leadership, planning & commercial teams, external manufacturers and international supply chain for management of inventory and production planning.
How you will contribute
You will:
Plans, organizes, controls and executes a production schedule for a in house product or new products development including trial/project coordination.Develops production schedules based on actual and forecasted demand, product demand profiles including both local/export customer needs.Ensures quality and integrity of information used to generate materials requirements plan.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any delays or issues.Coordinate with various departments (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, quality control) and even external group such as demand planner and supply chain to ensure seamless production processes and meeting the deliveries.Participates in the Project introduction of new products and supports the transfer/de-transfer of existing products through planning and analyzing of common and unique materials (MOQ review) in support of project deadlines.Communicates information on materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle.Maintains knowledge of monthly volume fluctuations and determines the materials required.Provides information to internal production on demand variances/changes.Develops and communicates short- and long-term commitments to both local and export customers.Coordinates necessary resources to meet shipment commitments.Develops recovery plans if production plans missed and export order shipments to be first priority.Lead and drive key projects aimed at improving planning efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational performance.Provides training, guidance and may assign work to less experienced employees.Mentor and train junior planners to develop their skills and knowledge.What you will bring
