Production Planner

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead the Production Planning and scheduling process to ensure all meals are appropriately scheduled each day across two production facilities. Develop and initiate master or detailed schedules to support Production across multiple different areas, including development, coordination, and maintenance of a daily and weekly production schedule. Project future labor needs to inform staff schedules and estimate labor costs. Establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates in accordance with plant capacity, sales forecast and/or customer orders. Analyze specific meal requirements (raw materials, machinery, labor) to determine necessary start and finish times for each day across multiple shifts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Customer Service, Inventory Control and Procurement to assess customer requirements, ensure all required raw materials are accounted for available, and prioritize production activities accordingly. Communicate effectively with production teams to convey schedule changes, material requirements, and other relevant information. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the production planning function, implementing best practices and standard operating procedures as appropriate. Proactively identify and address potential risks or constraints that may impact production schedules or customer deliveries. Respond to last-minute order changes or issues and just production plans to minimize disruption.

What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations or related field; or equivalent work experience required. 3+ years of experience in production planning APICS certification is a plus. Experience in Food/Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. Ability to work well in a cross-functional team setting. High visible energy, sense of urgency, and ownership. Proven leadership skills - you know how to motivate, mentor, and manage. Strong communication chops - you're just as comfortable talking to executives as you are coaching on the production floor. Highly organized and analytical - you thrive in environments where details matter Advanced Excel Skills: able to create detailed models and correctly synthesize complex data Extensive hands-on experience with a computerized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, etc. Bilingual Spanish/English

Salary Range: $63,000 - 78,000
