In this role as a Production Planner you will be responsible for satisfying customer demand by driving achievable production schedules based on demand, available capacity, and material. Manage lead times for set products to ensure we can achieve or exceed market expectation. Manage Inventory levels to agreed targets, through forecasting and setting safety stock levels. The Planner will be expected to work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing Engineering, Quality as required.
You will contribute to the development of an operational plan for own department activities of the team. Suggests improvements in products, processes and procedures.
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating and executing scheduling activities for assigned part numbers using advanced planning system.
Maintaining lead-times and Material Master data for assigned part numbers.
Coordinating the material planning, and production scheduling function to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Analysing and measuring the current production status and identify problem areas that inhibit full on time delivery.
Analysing data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs.
Supporting, coordinating maintaining a feasible production plan and closely work with operations team to achieve successful execution of the plan.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Operations Management) or equivalent experience in Planning
Demonstrate good and relevant experience in Production Planning
Have proven experience using MRP / ERP systems
Be highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Demonstrate excellent planning & organisational skills and attention to detail
