Role & Responsibilities:

Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position): 

As a Production Planner, you will support the execution of PO management process including PO creation, handling exceptions and overseeing the completion of order change request. You will support a sustainable performance Team by working collectively with Planning Team, Brand and Vendors ensuring deliveries are met on time

As part of the role, this position is responsible for analyzing, managing, and executing longer-term, strategic planning tasks related to long range capacity planning, pre & in-season supply planning process to optimize supply availability to global markets. You will need to assess and mitigate any potential supply risk due to demand variations, capacity

constraints, fabric and materials constraints and forecast variances etc.

To succeed, you will have to build strong relationship with internal (Product Supply teams & Brand teams) and external stakeholders (vendors). You will have utilize your strong analytical skill sets to drive decision making that ensures processes are integrated and aligned across all regions.

Key Result Areas:

Own the execution of PO management process including purchase order creation (where applicable) and change memo issuing in accordance with business requirementsAnalyze weekly exception and unconfirmed PO’s ensuring the execution of actions to resolve issues and maintain CRD datesCollaborate with Global Material Supply, QA and vendors to ensure on time deliveries, escalation of issues where requiredPartner with VF Logistics and Vendors to optimize delivery times ensuring on time deliveryMeasure & monitor factory KPIs and ensure that Vendor scorecards are maintainedPrepare detailed analytics with clear action points on a continuous basis including production tracking tools to provide effective and timely visibility to Brand & RegionsSupport long range planning (Multi Horizon Planning) activities with internal and external stakeholders – drawing up robust plans that are aligned with the sourcing strategy and address key planning scenarios.Carry out analysis to discover possible risks in supply and planMonitor Factory Ledger (where applicable), ensure current year running balances are settled by the end of the fiscal yearAct as a change agent/ambassador throughout the Product Supply and Supply Chain organization by building trust with various levels in the organization, communicate clearly and consistently business objectives and management vision

Experience

At least one year of related experience preferred, with ideally some exposure to manufacturing and/or consumer goods such as apparel, footwear or equipment 

Academic Qualifications

Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor’s degree or a High School Diploma with relevant work experience

Subject Expert In: Operations, Supply Chain, International Business
